Harry Potter star Sir Sir Michael Gambon has joined forces with the Stroke Association to support its Make May Purple 2016 campaign.
During the month of May, the charity aims to raise awareness of the impact of strokes, and share information and advice on how to help prevent the condition. Gambon, who plays played Winston Churchill in Churchill's Secret, an ITV drama about the Prime Minister's stroke, commented 'Since taking on the role of stroke survivor Winston Churchill, I've become all too aware of the merciless way a stroke can change someone's life in an instant. There are many millions of stroke survivors and carers and the support you receive from those around you is so vital. That's why I am supporting the Stroke Association's Make May Purple campaign. Together we can conquer stroke'.
